Country Head, Public Affairs Consultancy (New Delhi)


My client is a global award-winning specialised public policy affairs consultancy with offices in 10+ countries. They are looking for a Country Head based in their New Delhi office.


Applicants should have a proven track record of working in the corporate and public affairs/policy/communications space at a PR or corporate affairs consultancy. The applicants should possess excellent writing skills and an understanding of best practices in communications on social media.


Responsibilities include:


  • Advising the firm’s key clients on corporate affairs/communications and media relations.
  • Counselling C-Suite clients in media strategy, stakeholder engagement, crisis/issues management, and corporate affairs.
  • New business development and growth.
  • Collaborate with the APAC Director to inspire, lead, motivate, and develop teams throughout the region.
  • Develop comprehensive client strategies and action plans to ensure client satisfaction, retention, and growth.
  • Ensure the availability of adequate and effective teams and resources to support clients' needs
  • Strategic mindset to engage with senior management and solve critical business problems through strategic communications.
  • Ability to identify and deliver strategic communication programs combining public policy, media, and advocacy.
  • Proactively market our strategic communication services to senior management, emphasizing problem-solving capabilities.
  • Plan and execute multi-stakeholder communication initiatives for global corporations.
  • Strong commercial orientation and client service focus.


Skills/Experience required:

  • 15+ years of experience in the field, preferably within a communications or public policy consultancy.
  • A deep understanding of corporate affairs and public policy as a primary focus.
  • Strong business and commercial mindset to lead a company.
  • Experience managing a P&L.
  • A proven track record in client relationship management and team leadership, ideally gained through experience in consultancy/agency.
  • Strong presentation skills and writing capabilities.
  • Understanding of the policy and media landscape in India.
