The operations team exists to support the global Food Program @ client and its values both to employees, and to the vendor partners.


Role Summary:

The Ops Lead is responsible for the service and experience of the operations for the cafes under their purview. Delivers exceptional service and guides the team in accomplishing daily goals and projects. This position oversees the administrative and operational tasks, adhering to the budget, sanitation and safety.

The Ops Lead will focus on ensuring that the Sites are operated in the spirit of both Compass and Food Program @ client in order to support operational excellence. This position reports into the Director of Operations, and will leverage the strong operational and financial management skills of Leadership to partner with key stakeholders (culinary, nutrition, marketing, behavioural science, concept development, procurement, risk management, operations and people approach) to execute company standards, Food Program @ client expectations and enhance user (partner) experience.


The great things you will be expected to do:

● Implementation of a Strategic Account Plan for the business, to ensure Client and Compass objectives are achieved in terms of contractual obligations as well as revenue growth, profitability and the implementation of relevant retention strategies that ensure the existing business is maintained.

● Is a key stakeholder with the local Food Program @ client Program Manager and all Compass India teams to operationalize the food program;

● In this client facing role, which is highly driven by client expectations, you will be expected to maneuver smoothly in a very complex and matrix environment. You will be expected to be agile; data driven, respond quickly to situations and take decisions with the available information.

● In collaboration with the Director of Operations designs, manages and owns the overall experience, and not just the offerings.

● Manages the client's expectations by overseeing expectations set by the client, sector and Compass India driven initiatives as directed by Director of Operations. Establishes appropriate communication levels with key client stakeholders to enable effective implementation and joint monitoring of the contract.

● Manages and mentors toward business goals, ensuring the maturation and training of all levels of management.

● Monitors and manages all financial responsibilities in alignment with the Regional Director of Finance, Country Director of Operations and all other key stakeholders.

● Builds and maintains relationships from senior client to field level Unit Manager.

● Ensures all deliverables and timelines are met and adhered to regarding Operations and Support Functions business deliveries, as defined by Client and Compass Management.

● Ensures all sector and Compass employee guidelines are implemented and adhered to.

● Oversees the teams that open new business and/or revitalizes existing operations with new food programs, merchandising, equipment, etc. within the region.

● Ensure teams work within budget while maintaining program standards.

● Meets all timelines for quarter and year-end reports given by our Regional Directors Operations, Client and Country

Minimum Qualifications

● Bachelor's degree

● Has a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience from progressive food service- Hotel Industry, preferred exposure of managing multi-units.

● Experience in operations and account management is strongly preferred

● Experience managing large programs that involve strategic planning and project implementation preferred

● Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills

● Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

● Strong passion for great food and hospitality

● Manages time effectively and prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines

● Ability to follow all Health & Safety standards

● Demonstrates good judgment and decision-making skills

● Maintain a positive attitude under pressure and motivate team

● Working knowledge of Docs, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

● Ability to work independently as well as in a team

● Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment

● Able to travel extensively
