Role Summary
Principal Web Designer is a strategic leadership role blending deep technical proficiency with creative vision. We are looking to hire a designer with over 7 years of extensive experience in leading large-scale design projects that align with business goals and elevate user experience.
This role requires a mastery of design principles, web technologies, and user experience best practices.The Principal Web Designer will play a significant part in influencing design direction, setting standards and inspiring a team of designers to excel. While the role does not involve direct supervisory responsibilities, it is highly collaborative in nature and calls for sound communication skills and the ability to work with other leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Design Leadership: Lead strategic design initiatives that align with Chargebee’s business goals as an individual contributor.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with leadership teams across Chargebee and the marketing org to create cohesive brand, web and user experiences for customers.
- Innovation and Research: Stay ahead of the curve with cutting-edge design trends and technologies, foster continual learning and application within the team
- Design Advocacy: Advocate for design best practices and innovation within the organization. Influence design direction to elevate the brand and user experience.
- Project Leadership: Oversee large-scale design projects from concept to completion, ensuring they meet strategic objectives and are delivered on time and within budget.
- Design Oversight: Provide guidance and oversight to the design team, setting high standards for design excellence.
- Feedback Management: Develop and implement processes for collecting and acting on feedback from stakeholders and users, ensuring continuous improvement of our design outputs.
