Position: Dean, School of Physiotherapy


Location: DY Patil University


Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as the Dean of the School of Physiotherapy at DY Patil School of Physiotherapy. The Dean will provide strategic direction, academic leadership, and administrative oversight to ensure the continued growth and success of the School. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in academia, a strong background in physiotherapy, and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in education, research, and clinical practice. International academic or project experiences are highly desirable.


Responsibilities:

1.   Provide visionary leadership to advance the mission and goals of the School of Physiotherapy.

2.   Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance academic programs, research initiatives, and clinical practice within the School.

3.   Foster a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration among faculty, staff, and students.

4.   Oversee curriculum development, assessment, and accreditation processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.

5.   Recruit, retain, and support a diverse faculty and staff dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, and service.

6.   Cultivate partnerships and collaborations with external stakeholders, including healthcare organizations, industry partners, and community agencies.

7.   Lead efforts to secure external funding and resources to support research, scholarship, and program development.

8.   Represent the School of Physiotherapy internally and externally, building relationships and advocating for the School's interests and priorities.

9.   Promote a culture of inclusivity, equity, and diversity within the School, fostering an environment where all members feel valued and supported.

10. Engage in professional development activities to stay current with advancements in the field of physiotherapy education, research, and practice.


Qualifications :

  • Doctoral degree in Physiotherapy or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated expertise in physiotherapy education, research, and clinical practice.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Experience in curriculum development, accreditation processes, and program assessment.
  • Track record of scholarly productivity, including peer-reviewed publications and grant funding.
  • Experience with international academic collaborations, exchange programs, or project management is highly desirable.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment that values diversity and promotes student success.
  • Minimum 8 Years of Teaching experience & Overall 10 years of experience in the Domain.
