SAP Basis Administrator

*** Work hours will shift between (from 3 AM EST to 6 PM EST), starting during European business hours and ending during US EST business hours.***

We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator to join our team, specializing in managing SAP systems running ECC6 on HANA within the SAP RISE environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our SAP landscape, as well as supporting ongoing projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operation of SAP systems running ECC6 on HANA within the SAP RISE environment, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and reliability.
• Perform system administration tasks, including system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and enhancements in collaboration with functional teams and external vendors, adhering to best practices and minimizing downtime.
• Configure and maintain SAP RISE environment components, such as cloud infrastructure, databases, and middleware, to meet business requirements and ensure scalability.
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect SAP systems and data, including user access controls, role assignments, and compliance with security policies and standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, functional teams, and IT colleagues, addressing system-related inquiries, incidents, and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing projects, system integrations, and business initiatives, ensuring alignment with SAP architecture and standards.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and operational guidelines for knowledge sharing, training, and compliance purposes.
• Stay current with SAP technologies, trends, and best practices, continuously expanding knowledge and skills through self-study, training, and professional development opportunities.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to system emergencies or critical issues outside of regular business hours as needed, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining system availability and uptime.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP Basis administration, with a focus on ECC6 on HANA.
• Hands-on experience with SAP RISE environment setup, configuration, and administration.
• Proficiency in SAP system monitoring tools, performance optimization techniques, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Strong understanding of SAP security concepts, including user management, role administration, and authorization controls.
• Experience with SAP system upgrades, patch management, and enhancement pack installations.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
• SAP certifications in Basis administration and HANA are preferred but not required.
• Experience working in regulated industries, such as healthcare, finance, or manufacturing, is a plus.
