The Team The world of business, economics, and finance is rapidly changing. Trends in the economy affect businesses, industries, and the financial markets that interact with one another in dynamic and often unpredictable ways. The Deloitte Industry team is focused on analysing economic and industry developments in India and their relevance to businesses. The team is responsible for conducting path-breaking and innovative research, analyse trends, and develop in-depth business and industry/sector thought leaderships that provide useful insights to enable business teams/partners to make strategic decisions. Work you’ll do In our Consulting team, you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations. You’ll: Develop scalable data pipelines using GCP tools such as Dataflow, Dataproc, BigQuery, Composer, and Dataplex. Write efficient Java/Python code and complex SQL queries for data processing, extraction, transformation, and loading tasks. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets. Build and maintain data lakes/lakehouses on GCP, integrating structured and unstructured data sources while adhering to governance and security standards. Implement robust auditing mechanisms and exception handling processes to ensure data quality and reliability. Apply Slowly Changing Dimension methodologies to manage historical data and track changes over time effectively. Possess expertise in Apache Spark and its optimizations for processing large-scale data efficiently. Design and implement Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs) for orchestrating complex data workflows. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and business stakeholders. Must have working experience with various storage formats like Parquet, Avro, JSON, and XML, understanding their characteristics and best practices. Qualifications 3-12 years of hands-on experience on GCP Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer with expertise in Google Cloud Platform services. Strong proficiency in Java/Python programming and SQL querying. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and techniques. Highly skilled GCP Developer with a proven track record of designing and implementing cost-effective cloud infrastructure solutions. Experienced in developing and deploying cloud-native applications, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Google Cloud certification in relevant areas is a plus. Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communicator Working knowledge of agile methodologies Should be proactive and self-motivated attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks.
