360 Insights PWT/TH Engineer - Electric Drive Unit

As part of the "360 insight powertrain and thermal domain team" you focus on generating insights by combining the data generated by several team (Technology center/costing & sustainability team, performance center, and market insights team) to deliver customers valuable and unique studies and support them in optimizing their products. We are looking for someone specialized either in HV Battery Cell, HV Battery Packs or Electric Drive Unit.
Tasks & Responsabilities
  • Analysis and synthesize of the data generated by A2MAC1 (Costing, teardown, insights)
  • Support customers in their cost/performance optimization programs
  • Identify right benchmarks from A2mac1 database and analysis in exchange with customers product to identify optimization potentials
  • Good understanding of data generated by virtual teams: know-how of cost & sustainability/performance/ technology and apply them in cost-down projects
  • Support customers in decision making for their future product concept, and/or Chemistry
  • Continuous support in identifying and implementing improvement potential in A2mac1 database and reports
Requirements
Professional Background if Battery Cell Application
  • Minimum a Master of Science Degree in Chemistry, Material Science or similar relevant field
  • Strong understanding of electrochemical principles of lithium-ion cells, familiar with current state of art and next generation opportunities in batteries
  • Knowledge of Battery Cell manufacturing technologies
  • 3+ years industry experienced in battery cell design, materials, or manufacturing
  • Familiar with cell cost structure
  • Experience with discovering optimization point and recommendation of alternatives to improve the design is a plus
  • Experience in supplier negotiation is a plus
Professional Background if Electric Drive Unit Application
  • Minimum a Master of Science Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree
  • 3+ yrs. e-drive unit design/modelling and optimization at OEMs or tier 1s
  • Experience with discovering optimization point and recommendation of alternatives to improve the design
  • Knowledge of electric machines working principles, motor control algorithms, reducers
  • Familiar with design guideline for electric drive units for EVs
  • Familiar with E-drive cost structure
  • Familiar with E-drive production technology
  • Experience in supplier negotiation is a plus
Professional Background if HV Battery Packs Application
  • Minimum a Master of Science Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
  • Familiar with vehicle safety regulation
  • Knowledge of HV Battery pack, designs concepts, ideally Experience in HV battery design
  • Familiar with battery cost structure
  • Experience with discovering optimization point and recommendation of alternatives to improve the design
  • Experience in performing full vehicle crash simulations/ or thermal propagation simulations is a plus
  • Experience in supplier negotiation is a plus
