JOB DESCRIPTION


  • Build and develop relationship with OEM's in the 2W/3W/ Passenger Car / Utility Vehicle / Commercial Vehicle segment through periodic visits, references, direct mailers, Expo & conferences.
  • Identifying Business opportunities and new vehicle programs of Existing & Potential New customers , coordinate to receive RFI/RFQ’s
  • Supporting existing Customers and Programs on need basis – Schedules, Account Receivables, Engg Changes, Quality Escalations, Contract Amendments etc
  • Responsible for New Business Revenue ($M) & New Customer additions
  • Defend and maintain material margins on won/current programs
  • Coordinate for Corporate BD & Product Strategies, Medium Term Business plan and Annual Sales planning
  • Organizing brand promotion activities through participation in Auto Expos, Customer road shows, advertising, Internet promotions, etc
  • Gather market intelligence on competition, Technology trends, market pricing etc & conduct market surveys/studies on the potential new products to be introduced in the market.
  • Responsible for Margin improvement through strategic customer engagement strategies
  • Rollout of annual and medium term sales plan with linkage to Organization strategy.

Pre-Program


  • Coordinate internally for submission of Customer quote, cost breakdowns etc as per agreed timelines, Work closely with customer (incl Price negotiations) until Business win (LOI/SOBA)
  • Promote new technologies of Company to target OE’s and build strong sales pipeline for long term business growth


Skills Required:


Essential


  • Ability to understand and analyze business requirements & customer expectations thoroughly
  • Experienced in managing effectively cross-functional teams possessing diverse talents
  • Possess sound engineering knowledge
  • Strong Commercial Acumen, communication (one to many) and organization skills is must
  • Process Adherence & Business Ethics
  • Knowledge in developing Business strategy, Product Branding preferred


Desirable

  • Leadership and Strong Interpersonal skills, ability to chair productive review meetings etc.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely in writing and speaking
  • Experience working with different customers (OEM's) preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of the organization and development process; project timing processes & change management
  • Channel Distribution Management experience


Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/ Automobile) from premier Institutes
  • 25+ years of relevant experience with 10+ yrs in Senior Management roles
  • MBA (preferred)
  • Automotive Tier -1 Industry Essential
