You will be in a client-facing role, working on challenges and hand-holding the finance and accounts teams of multiple organisations. You are required to: Serving as the primary point of contact for all finance, taxation, and compliance-related issues. Setting up and monitoring systems, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they become roadblocks. Utilizing technology to your advantage and acting as a problem solver. Occasional local travel within Mumbai and Pune JOB DESCRPTION The assistant manager will be an integral part of a team that works on designing, building and implementing solutions that address client needs in Finance, Taxation, and other laws related to the development sector. In this role, you will be a part of our projects by working hand in hand with the team in problem solving, working with multiple stakeholders, and contributing to research-based insights. ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES Management Qualities Experience in managing clients Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Communicating with multiple stakeholders viz. leadership, auditors, donors, program staff, other consultants, etc Soft skills including spoken and written English Prior experience with guiding, motivating, and managing a team/juniors/client staff in their day-to-day operations Able to work independently, assume ownership, and responsibility of the work Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with external contacts, co-workers, and staff, and to work and maintain diligently a professional team environment Process-driven and task-manager Compliance and Financial Management Responsible for managing clients’ compliances, viz.
