These services have applicability across a variety of industries, including banking & financial services, insurance, retail, higher education, food, healthcare, and manufacturing.   The Role Bid Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end bid process, from strategy development to submission, with a focus on collaboration, quality, and meeting client requirements. Their role requires a combination of project management, strategic planning, and communication skills to increase the organization's chances of winning competitive bids.   Skills Requirements Mandatory Skillset  -   Sales/Presales Secondary Skillset - Bid management Requirements Responsible for developing and preparing proposals/SOW in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Able to assist in the development of presentations and respond to any requests for information from the company's sales team . The proposal writer is expected to work closely with representatives from several departments, including sales, technical, and the contract department. Able to develop good working relationships with people in other departments. Ability to run the team as a performance driven organization. Duties include tracking proposals and performance KPIs for the group, writing proposals and other documentation, ensuring that proposals in progress comply with guidelines set by Global Sales Enablement, managing the creation and distribution of all work documents, maintaining proposal formatting, developing sales presentations, and gathering critical information for various personnel. Able to drive proposal strategy meeting and conclude any differences. Able to work closely with sales team to set opportunity priorities, deadlines. Meeting proposal deadline by establishing target dates for information gathering, review and approval. Able to maintain quality results by using templates; follow proposal writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone. Drive continuous improvement in proposal writing by evaluating and redesigning processes, approaches, coordination, and boilerplate, and implementing necessary changes. Accomplishes organizational goals by taking ownership of new and diverse requests and exploring opportunities to enhance job accomplishments and add value. Lead storyboard sessions with members of the bid/proposal team to facilitate effective communication and collaboration in the development process. Present all new proposal content to the knowledge base manager for review and potential incorporation into the knowledge base for future reuse. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and workflow/brain-mapping applications Ability to translate complex concepts into layperson narrative. Researches and collects data to fully define RFP requirements.
