Senior Software Engineer

Objective of the role: We're seeking a passionate Senior Backend Engineer to propel our SaaS- based career guidance platform to the next level. You'll play a vital role in designing and scaling our microservices architecture, optimizing database performance, and ensuring a seamless user experience. Key Responsibilities Design and implement robust, scalable microservices using web frameworks. Build reusable code libraries to enhance efficiency and maintainability. Optimize database performance and data modelling for a high- volume SaaS application. Participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality and alignment with best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues within a distributed architecture. Collaborate across teams to define APIs and ensure seamless integration. Actively contribute ideas to improve our technology, algorithms, and product offerings. Provide code documentation and other inputs to technical documents. Skills: Technical Skills: 4+ years of hands-on experience in backend development. Must have experience in Object Oriented Languages such as Java/PHP and associated web frameworks. Proven expertise in microservices design patterns and principles. Strong proficiency with relational databases and experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Elasticsearch). Working knowledge of AWS cloud platform and related services. Prior experience in a product-based tech start-up is a plus. Behavioural Skills: Ability to obtain in-depth understanding of complex systems and execute improvements at architecture level. Taking ownership of large projects and collaborating effectively across teams within stringent time frames. Passion for solving challenging problems and delivering high- quality solutions.
