SCOPE OF THE POSITION

Reporting to the Associate Director, Project Management, the Project Manager’s primary responsibility will be to operationalize new products and new CMOs into the business.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Project Management

  • The Project Manager will be responsible for operationalizing new product / new CMO projects. The scope is from term sheet signature to approximately three months post commercial launch.
  • Responsible for collaborating with Finance, Business Development, Research & Development, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Lab Operations, Marketing, Sales and Supply Chain throughout all phases of the project.
  • Responsible for developing a comprehensive Project Charter that includes (i) a detailed project plan (ii) with milestones that have been mutually agreed upon with internal stakeholders
  • Responsible for delivering projects on time and on budget
  • Responsible for coordinating project due diligence activities
  • Responsible for following internal standards for tracking and reporting project progress
  • Responsible for chairing and leading cross-functional project meetings
  • Responsible for facilitating cross functional problem-solving during project execution, and for developing risk-based recommendations that minimize impact on quality, revenue, timing and costs.
  • Responsible for acting as a primary contact with CMOs during project execution, helping to facilitate communication between CMOs and internal stakeholders


Operations Planning

  • Assist the Associate Director in coordinating the onboarding and prioritization of new product opportunities generated by Business Development, R&D or Acquisition.
  • Assist the Associate Director in providing succinct monthly portfolio updates with appropriate benchmarks and metrics (Investment, Cycle times, Revenue) that capture portfolio performance versus plan.



Business Support

  • Support Finance with updates to Forecast


Process Improvement

  • Identify and support execution of key process improvement initiatives within the business

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • University degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Science or other related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • 2+ years of project management experience
  • Experience leading new product introduction an asset
  • Experience leading multiple (10+) projects an asset
  • Experience leading cross functional teams an asset
  • PMP designation an asset
