Located at 18 Seethammal Road, Alwarpet, Chennai, LAKSHMI is housed in a heritage bungalow with an old-world charm.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of the company's financial accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and financial reporting.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
• Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development and growth.
• Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations, and ensure the company's accounting practices remain up-to-date and compliant.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, operations, and management, to support business objectives and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office
• Experience in bookkeeping and financial record keeping
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Relevant certification is a plus
