Electrical Estimation Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Estimation Engineer to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to accurately estimate the cost and scope of electrical projects, ensuring competitiveness and profitability. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of electrical systems and construction processes. Responsibilities: Project Assessment : Evaluate project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand project requirements thoroughly. Cost Estimation : Utilize industry-standard methods to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for Commercial, Residential & Industrial electrical projects, including materials, labor, and overhead costs. Floating Enquiries to Suppliers / Manufacturers. Bid Preparation : Prepare comprehensive bid proposals, ensuring that all requirements and specifications are addressed effectively. Value Engineering : Identify opportunities for value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality or functionality. Vendor Management : Coordinate with vendors to obtain competitive pricing and quotes for materials and services. Comparison Studies based on suppliers Quotations. Rate Analysis. Negotiations with suppliers on both technical and commercial aspects of product Risk Assessment : Identify potential risks and uncertainties in project estimates and develop strategies to mitigate them. Tender Analysis : Analyze tender submissions and provide recommendations on pricing strategies and competitiveness. Client Interaction : Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders to clarify project requirements and address any concerns or queries related to cost estimates. Documentation : Maintain accurate records of all cost estimates, correspondence, and project-related documentation. Requirements: BE/Diploma in Electrical Engineering Proven experience in electrical estimation for construction projects, preferably in the commercial or industrial sector. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in calculations and documentation. Ability to work independently Proficiency in MS Office, MS Outlook, Microsoft Excel for creating and managing complex spreadsheets used in cost estimation, analysis.
