Job Objective


Help formulate Go to Market strategy to support our business development, sales, and customer relationship management initiative. Ensure growth in sustainable revenues and number of satisfied customers. Understand the customer needs in the target market and offer competitive products from our product portfolio. Play a role of a mentor to ensure capability building within sales team.


Key Responsibility Areas


  • Formulate Go to Market strategy for the countries under your region
  • Study and analyze political situation, financial budget allocation to defense sector. This will help understand the potential of the market
  • Derive insights from Market research, competitor's products information
  • Customize sales strategy as per every country’s specific requirement
  • Guide sales manager to initiate actions to support implementation of sales strategy
  • Guide, Review and Approve budget for sales visit plan, exhibition/demo plan, tradeshows, business meet and other business development initiatives ensuring increase in brand awareness
  • Review and approve report prepared by sales manager after sales visit, exhibition, tradeshow etc.
  • Review and provide feedback on Annual Sales Forecast and budget plan for the region. Ensure sales growth targets and profitability are achieved
  • Help sales manager to develop and build relationships with the Clients/Agents and Channel Partners of the respective region/country
  • Keep track of new products and latest/upcoming technologies in the market and transfer the information to respective stakeholders for future product enhancements/development
  • Help in identifying upcoming tenders by guiding sales managers to analyze lost tender data, warranty information for past won tenders, related current affairs and news for the market etc
  • Conduct end to end review of each country under your region to understand compliance on closure report of an opportunity on CRM
  • Guide in preparing bid participation strategy
  • Track trend of regional sales KPI on regular basis and initiate actions to improve overall sales performance
  • Build strong relationship with Channel Partners to ensure growth in leads generation and conversion
  • Play a key role of a very strong mentor and guide the sales managers on bringing in more business
  • Guide and help sales managers on how to ensure payments are received on time
  • Monthly review of Sales funnel of the regions with respective Sales Manager
  • Regular Sales review with international sales head and company CEO


Qualification

Master’s degree in Marketing /Sales


Other desired qualifications

Prior experience of working with defence, government departments and agencies


Relevant Experience

20 to 25 years of overall experience, with 15 to 20 years in similar role
