TRANSEARCH International, India has been retained by New Age Makers Institute of Technology (NAMTECH), which is the educational initiative of Arcelor Mittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India), to bring on board senior academician for multiple subject specializations. NAMTECH strives to offer a forward-thinking approach to engineering education, preparing students for the challenges and opportunities presented by the dynamic landscape of Industry 4.0 technologies. Their campus at Research Park, IIT Gandhinagar serves as a hub for excellence, fostering innovation, research, and the development of skills that align with the needs of the evolving industry. The institution looks at redefining the boundaries of learning through their industry-aligned programs. Within a year of their establishment the Institute has established strong academic collaborations with Technical University of Munich (TUM ASIA), ITEES Singapore and others along with industry collaborations with Schneider Electric, FESTO, Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC), AM/NS India and Micron to name a few. NAMTECH is hiring for multiple positions: Professor and Program Directors: Semiconductor Manufacturing Program Smart Manufacturing Program Experience and Education: Professor and Program Director for the two programs of Semiconductor Manufacturing and Smart Manufacturing will design, lead and manage the respective programs leading to the establishment of the Center of Excellence (CoE) for each, in 3-4 years of timeframe. The incumbent will deliver academic excellence through effective operation and strategic development of the students, faculty and staff and the institute. Along with this s/he will be responsible for articulating the future skilling needs of the semi-conductor industry and establishing value based strategic partnerships with private sector, relevant Government departments, other academic and research institutes in India and abroad. PhD from a reputed National or Global University, with at least 10 years of academic experience in Mechanical / Electronics Engineering; specialization in semi-conductor manufacturing/assembly/testing or related discipline will be preferred. OR B. Tech/M. Tech or equivalent from a reputable National or Global University with total 15 years of industrial experience in relevant areas having performed leadership roles with interest in developing career in academics. The candidate should come with a demonstrated experience of a high level of creative ability in research, teaching or industry in cutting-edge technologies. Should have handled a Head of Department or leadership role with relevant administrative, along with academic/research responsibilities. Should preferably come with prior experience of designing curricula along with implementing the same. If otherwise, should have the ability to learn, adopt and implement. Should have demonstrated ability to develop trust-based relationships with industry, academia and the Government. Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the graduate level. Ability to foster critical thinking, interdisciplinary perspectives, and practical application of sustainability principles in the classroom. Conducting innovative research in sustainability engineering and policy. Mentorship and academic advising skills for students for students interested in sustainability engineering and policy.
