Primary Responsibilities
Hands on experience in migrating EBS database/application environments from different OS (RHEL/UNIX) platforms.
Perform Oracle EBS Applications database administration (DBA) tasks including patching (adop cycle and opatch), cloning, creating backup and recovery strategies, upgrading, performance tuning/optimization of Oracle EBS systems for recoverability, security, confidentiality, and integrity.
Provide oversight on key delivery of application topology solutions and enhancements as needed in Oracle technology space
- Experience in integrating layers and platforms, cloud architecture and concepts of DevSecOps, DataOps
- Experience with tool chains and continuous integration/continuous delivery
- Experience with solution assessment for performance, refactoring, platforms, multiple points of integration
- Experience in monitoring infrastructure and application uptime and availability to ensure functional and performance objectives.
- Experience in languages such as Python, Ruby, Bash, Java, Go, Perl, JavaScript and/or node.js
- Demonstrable cross-functional knowledge with systems, storage, networking, security and databases
- System administration skills, including automation and orchestration of Linux/Windows using Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt Stack and/or containers (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Maintain services during deployment and in production by measuring and monitoring key performance and service level indicators including availability, latency, and overall system health
- Automate system scalability and continually work to improve system resiliency, performance and efficiency
- Remediate tasks within corrective action plan via sustainable, preventative, and automated measures whenever possible
Ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance.
Function as liaison between business and Technology teams and interpret requests/issues into technical or non-technical terms.
Collaborate with business and technology teams to resolve or mitigate issues identifies with project development, production and non-production issues.
Partner with application development and project delivery teams to successfully deploy projects, code releases and support solution stabilization.
Engage in support consultations with the business to translate non-technical and Ops requirements into technical design requirements.
Perform ongoing monitoring and refinement of application processes, jobs/batch processes, interfaces, and reports.
Experience in automation through shell script/Ansible and ability to design, code and implement automation tasks or any other modern programming languages including Python/JSON.
Minimum qualifications include:
Bachelors’ /Master’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field of study, or equivalent work experience.
At least 5+ years working knowledge and experience in Oracle EBS 12.2* , EBS Upgrade and FMW/Weblogic.
Preferred qualifications include:
Sound knowledge of EBS R12.2 Upgrade from EBS 12.1
Oracle APPS DBA will be responsible for installation, configuration, upgrading, administrating, monitoring, troubleshooting, cloning, Patching, Backup and restore of Oracle EBS
WebLogic (R11g, R12c) - Install, configure, clone, administer, patch, maintain, troubleshoot, and monitor availability & performance
Oracle 12C or 19C database administration, maintenance, security implementation, upgrade and patching, database performance tuning, sizing and capacity planning,
database backup and recovery in a Linux O/S using RMAN and Oracle export/import utilities, administration, and maintenance to provide backup and disaster
Oracle EBS Sys. Admin activities -
Concurrent manager configs/maintenance,
Conc Managers Load monitoring,
EBS Code moves, well versed with EBS Application file system,
setting up SFTP SSH keys, EBS Application performance issues
Debugging and EBS user access management
Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle EBS Database and related products.
Monitoring the application-related products like OACore, OAFM, Apache etc.
Establish and maintain backup and recovery policies and procedures
Take care of the Database design and implementation.
Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges).
Work as part of a team and provide 24×7 support when required
Patch Management and Version Control.
Perform database/application tuning and performance monitoring.
Work on integration issues
Cloning DEV and TEST from PROD.
