Steel Analyst

Skills & Experience

  • Extensive Knowledge about steel industry raw materials (Iron Ore, Ferro Alloys, Fluxes, Refractories, Pig iron, Sponge iron etc.,), Process, finished goods (Billets, TMT etc.,), prevailing price trends in the market, good ERP Knowledge
  • Have knowledge of Steel Market and its major raw material (like MS Scrap, Sponge Iron, Ferro alloys etc.)
  • Analyze, forecast, monitor and present & guide the stakeholders including top management for the various steel input (RM) and output product pricing (FG)
  • Good Communication Skill with Multi linguistic ability & Trouble Shooting Skills
  • Advise for finalization of Long-Term Contracts & Short term Contracts based on the trend with various analytical models with scientific approach, Spot Analysis, Future analysis/predictive analysis etc.,
  • Knowledge about various analytical tools, Supply, price forecasting models, databases, methodology, statistical models, business intelligence etc., & idea about costing techniques
  • Good Computer literacy with Hands on knowledge on MS office, Word, Excel and PPT, presentation skills
  • Hands on knowledge about the various steel industry subscriptions and usage of the same
  • Good exposure with Domestic, Import and Export knowledge & trends about Steel Industry
  • Can do forecasting of future Steel and raw material prices, expected price trend by analysing past available data.
  • Have knowledge of Artificical Intelligence/ Power BI applications and any other such applications
  • Can suggest Procurement team right time to buy bulk raw material based on forecasting for getting better cost saving
  • Can analyze steel mint / LME data for future trends

Experience

  • 8 to 10 Years of Experience preferably Steel Industry
  • Added Advantage: Having exposure to Import and Export
