- Planning of daily visit to SPD fields considering the stage of the crop
- Special focus on the new varieties/ grower.
- Responsible for supervising the seed production activities from planting to crop harvest by visiting the fields at random.
- Suggesting/recommending actions on quality issues during visit to concern field staff.
- Monitoring the field practices being followed in SPD fields with respect to seed health and providing necessary actions/improvements if needed.
- Responsible for visiting the fields for priority crops against different seed borne diseases targeted in SH policy
- Documenting all field reports of daily visits in prescribed formats and submitting the same to concern authorities of QA and SPD.
- Generating the field record for classifying the field for different qualities with respect of GP and SH.
- Providing the reports on quality issues immediately on which urgent action is needed.
- Preparing the monthly summary reports on overall field visits for respective production centers
- Creating quality awareness among seed growers and field staff for quality improvement.
- Conducting the training for seed growers and field staff before season or any quality issues arises in seed production.
- Keep on sensitizing the growers and field staff for quality seed production.
- Responsible for checking the parents for their true to type in comparison with standard parental descriptors.
- Preparing the parental confirmation reports along with necessary information in coordination with SPD.

- Responsible for monitoring the compliance of seed disinfection as per SH policy at seed disinfection centers.
