Role & Responsibilities Overview : 1. Interface with business stakeholders, understand their data and analytics needs, establish requirement in alignment with data product owners and with data engineers and align on delivery plan. Coordinate across data and analytics product team to help design data assets to enable analytical solution around asset management. 2. Understand various data sources around asset classes, portfolio, historical performances, market trends etc. and explore additional structured or unstructured sources to enrich data pipelines. Support in the design & development of target data marts (Operational or Analytical) or data assets for portfolio analytics, performance/financial reporting, financial modeling, or other analytical use cases. 3. Build data product prototypes to generate product/market fit for internal users, ensuring we have the deep understanding to design centralized scalable data products and features. Prototypes may select data from snowflake and generate derived metrics to create new datasets in DEV and UAT environments. 4. Document prototypes in detail, including learnings of what doesn’t work. 5. Establish necessary ETL (“Extract, Transform, Load”) process to land data into target solutions and enable corresponding analytics views leveraging tools like Python/SQL/Snowflake. 6. Support development of user test cases for integration, data flows through scenario testing, solicit feedback for further improvement to data solutions. 7. Effectively communicate analysis, reports, project status, milestones etc. in coordination with data product owners, program managers and scrum maters. 8. Implement straight through, exception-based data product designs meeting data governance standards, including reporting. Perform necessary data quality checking tasks, prepare data quality reports, establish necessary data security measures to prepare model ready data. 9. Support development of data solutions catering to ad-hoc business team requirements to understand asset class performance, insights on allocation strategy, portfolio monitoring etc. Candidate Profile: • Master's degree in economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with MBA/BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply • Professional certifications in Finance, financial modeling, or investments are a plus (including CFA/FRM/CA) • 3+ years’ experience preferably in Insurance domain • Experience in Investment Analytics with strong knowledge of investment products including fixed income, public equity, private equity, private credit, venture capital, real estate, the energy transition and more • Understand key financial terminologies and working including financial statements, regulations etc. • Experience in working in dual shore engagement is preferred • Must have experience in managing clients directly • Superior analytical and problem solving skills • Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills • Strong competency in MS applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other business analysis specific tools and techniques. • Experience with other project management tools including MS Project, Visio (BPMN), Confluence, Jira, Sharepoint, Git etc. • Knowledge of other investment-related software and tools (Bloomberg, Aladdin etc.) is preferred • Strong record of achievement, solid analytical ability, and an entrepreneurial hands-on approach to work in an agile work environment • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills • Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges • Is able to understand cross cultural differences and can work with clients across the globe EXL Service 10 Exchange Place, Suite 2200, Jersey City, NJ T: +1.201.748.4700 www.exlservice.com T ech Stack required : Must have : SQL, Data Management, data warehousing and Asset Management prior experience, good communication Good to have : Jira, Lucid charts, Snowflake
