Fabric Inspector

The Fabric Inspector (Quality Check) is responsible for ensuring that all fabrics used in the production of clothing meet the necessary quality standards. The Fabric Inspector will inspect fabrics for any defects in the fabric, colour, design, and texture, as well as for any foreign objects or contamination. The Fabric Inspector will also verify that the fabric meets the required specifications and that the fabric is suitable for the intended purpose. The Fabric Inspector will use various testing methods to assess the quality of the fabric, such as visual inspection, feel and stretch tests, and chemical tests. The Fabric Inspector will be required to document their findings on inspection reports and communicate any issues to the relevant stakeholders. Fabric Inspector Role Purpose The purpose of a Fabric Inspector is to inspect, select and grade fabrics for garments, upholstery, bedding and other textile products. They must possess a good eye for detail and be able to identify quality, colour and texture changes to ensure that all fabrics meet the required standards. Fabric Inspectors are also responsible for overseeing the production processes and conducting regular inspections to ensure that the quality of the fabric is maintained throughout the manufacturing process. They must also be familiar with the various testing methods and standards used in the industry and be able to identify any defects. Fabric Inspector Role A Fabric Inspector is responsible for inspecting and testing fabrics for faults and quality control purposes. They evaluate the fabrics for texture, feel, colour, shrinkage, weight, and other characteristics, as well as identifying any defects or flaws in the fabric. They must have a good eye for detail and an understanding of the production process and the desired end product.
