Job Description: Lead UX Designer

As a Lead UX Designer, you will be a key player in shaping our digital products, ensuring they not only meet client requirements but exceed user expectations. Collaborating closely with Product Managers and Business Analysts, you will transform concepts into seamless user experiences, employing your expertise in UX design best practices, mobile-first, and responsive design. Your role will encompass translating detailed requirements into user flows, wireframes, and prototypes, facilitating the realization of our client's product vision.

We are looking for a user-experience (UX) designer able to understand our business requirements and any technical limitations, as well as be responsible for conceiving and conducting user research, interviews and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes. The UX designer will also be expected to design the overall functionality of the product, and in order to ensure a great user experience, iterate upon it in accordance with user-testing.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Assist stakeholders including and not limited to Product Managers, Business Analysts, UX Designers and Developers to gather business and end-user requirements and use this data to define and develop technical specifications and processes for design, coding and testing.

Your Primary Responsibilities Include

  • Ability to work with Product Manager and Business Analysts to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision.
  • Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
  • Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
  • Facilitate the client’s product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for digital products.
  • Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
  • Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.
  • Communicate expectations within the design team for standards of quality through creative direction and critique.
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
  • Actively support and participate in problem-solving and finding solutions/better processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, good communication skills and ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Organizational skills to track and drive team efforts.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Lead multiple, parallel teams in the design and re-design of end-to-end experiences.
  • Create strategic design deliverables such as strategy decks, customer journeys, visions of future experiences.
  • Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.
  • Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
  • Expertise in Interaction Design, and strength in Visual/UI Design or Information Architecture; Intermediate proficiency in adjacent skills such as User Research, UX Writing, Prototyping, and Service Design.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
  • A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design and design thinking.
  • A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.
  • Strong development experience with Design Tools preferably Figam and/or Sketch.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and schedules to meet deadlines

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant UI/UX design experience. Preference experience designing complex solutions for Cloud Environments.
  • Expertise in standard UX software such as Figma, Sketch, Mural, and the like is a must. Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.
  • Highly adaptable professional, open to work seamlessly across multiple overlapping time zones for optimal global collaboration
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills in English, documentation, presentation & negotiation skills.

Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise

  • Strong client service ability, and experience in the E-commerce, CMS, Digital Marketing sectors is a plus.
  • Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders via a distributed model, to regularly deliver design solutions for approval.
  • Be passionate about all things UX and other areas of design and innovation.
  • Research and showcase knowledge in the industry’s latest trends and technologies.
