Key Responsibilities: Menu Curation: Develop and curate innovative and enticing coffee and beverage menus that align with our brand identity and appeal to our target audience. Stay updated on industry trends and customer preferences to continuously enhance our offerings. Coffee Preparation: Lead by example in the preparation and presentation of high-quality coffee beverages, ensuring consistency and adherence to recipe standards. Train team members on proper brewing techniques, espresso extraction, milk frothing, and drink customization. Quality Control: Maintain strict quality control standards for all coffee and beverage offerings, including monitoring freshness, flavor profiles, and presentation. Conduct regular taste tests and sensory evaluations to ensure product excellence. Team Training and Development: Train and mentor barista team members on all aspects of coffee preparation, customer service, and sales techniques. Provide ongoing coaching and support to help team members reach their full potential and deliver outstanding service. Sales Optimization: Implement strategies to maximize sales and drive revenue growth through suggestive selling, upselling, and promotional activities. Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed. Customer Experience: Ensure that every customer interaction is positive, memorable, and exceeds expectations. Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service and cultivate a customer-centric culture within the team. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, and other beverage ingredients to ensure adequate stock levels. Place orders as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize waste. Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies and procedures. Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the barista area. Requirements: Proven experience as a barista, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced QSR or coffee shop environment. Expertise in coffee preparation techniques, including espresso extraction, latte art, and specialty beverage customization. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve performance goals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for providing exceptional customer service. Creativity and innovation in menu development, with a keen eye for emerging trends and customer preferences. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of inventory management principles and experience with ordering and stock control procedures. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business operations.
