THE ROLE


  • Support the clothing category to deliver safe, legal and quality products.
  • Conduct product evaluation and provide product development and technical expertise to category business teams.
  • Manage and influence internal & external stakeholders.
  • Contribute towards the buying decision for new products by writing complete technical briefs.
  • Conduct benchmarking & market reviews to drive quality standards within the category.
  • Determine testing requirements for products to the appropriate level of due diligence and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure all suppliers of Woolworths Branded products have appropriate technical and ethical audit compliance prior to supply.
  • Monitor returns and customer complaints, investigating where required and taking appropriate action to drive continuous improvement and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure products and suppliers meet all Woolworths Policies and Standards.
  • Driver of emerging technology & developments that support the category innovation plan.


WHO YOU ARE


  • Minimum 5 years' apparel QA experience in an international buying office, expertise in soft home category is a plus.
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced culture of change.
  • Successful track record of delivering safe, legal, quality products to the customer.
  • Be able to demonstrate customer focus.
  • Strong communication skills in English & Tamil.
  • Operate across product areas and multiple projects within category whilst meeting specified timelines.
  • Demonstrated supply and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of country and global supply chain processes.
  • Risk assessment knowledge and practised experience.
  • Extensive demonstrated experience reviewing and releasing products for the retail market (Australian market knowledge highly advantageous).
  • Candidates must have the flexibility to travel overseas for business where required
