Location : Gurugram, India

Reporting to: Senior Manager, Finance (based in India)


What you'll do:


  • Prepare and analyze financial statements monthly, including: income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows
  • Facilitate timely completion of the quarterly and annual financial statements, including external audits in line with the timelines.
  • Perform month-end and year-end close processes
  • Interpret and analyze financial information posted to general ledger accounts
  • Facilitate and coordinate timely closure of the period end books, other monthly reporting functions and other associated functions and processes to ensure closure of the books by the agreed closure date.
  • Proven hands on experience with complex accounting process flows and group financial reporting processes.
  • Ensure monthly balance sheet review for quality and completeness of the trial balance. Perform a detailed review of the entire trial balance and produce Closing Trackers /Exception report and schedule of action points to fix any identified challenge (if any), in formats and content agreed with the line manager.
  • Coordinate and manage the audit/review process by External and Internal audit bodies like Statutory Auditors, Internal Auditors, Risk & Compliance Department, State Audit.
  • Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared
  • Produce technical accounting opinion based on research of specific references and cases in the Accounting Standards
  • Review on a periodical basis the key accounting policy documents and update Management on changes that may be required to be made to ensure updated position of the accounting policy documents.
  • Facilitate special finance operations special projects including changes required by new accounting standards, changes to systems, introduction of new systems, cross functional projects, etc. as assigned.
  • Gathering and monitoring financial data (e.g. sales revenues and liabilities)
  • Fully support and close any ad hoc work allotted by the team members.


What you'll need:


  • [Must have]: Chartered Accountant with 2-3 years of experience
  • [Must have]: Willing to commute daily (Mon-Fri) to the office in Gurugam
  • Experience or exposure of E-Commerce industry is preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger of books of account keeping
  • Sense of Urgency, Service & Resulted Oriented
  • Possess High Degree of Initiative, Creative, Innovative, Proactive Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with tight deadlines whilst ensuring the work undertaken remains at a high standard
  • Process oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work in an accelerated environment with several projects simultaneously, in a dynamic and constantly evolving context
  • Excellent communication skills – candidate should be able to influence, challenge and educate, coupled with the confidence in presenting to senior management
  • Strong influencing, negotiation and communication skill
  • You are a strategic commercial thinker with impressive analytical skills and critical mindset. You have strong technical skills in Microsoft / Google Suite
