Job Description – Aftermarket Sales Engineer-South


ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

BUSINESS: Industrial

LOCATION: Chennai

DIRECT REPORTING: Regional Sales Manager-South

FUNCTIONAL REPORTING: Head-Aftermarket

POSITION DETAILS

Position Summary:

Acquires, establishes and develops relationships with existing and prospective customers in Southern region (Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telengana, Kerala, Puducherry & Sri Lanka). To generate enquiries, look into RFQ Documents, Quotation, Order follow up, Order processing, Follow up with internal team in factory & head office, Payment Collection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identification of business from existing and prospective customers in respective territory or areas of responsibility
  • Business generation from dormant/sleeping customers
  • Techno commercial negotiation, coordination at RFQ stage & making the quote, follow up for order conversion
  • Order handling, contract review, coordinating with factory & OMC & customer for documents approval
  • Acquire and communicate competitive intelligence as it pertains to CIRCOR products, technology, and activity
  • Develop and manage contacts and relationships with customers
  • Coordinate and/or manage and respond to technical and price quotations via Request for Information and Request for Proposals; follow up until closure
  • Develop and implement strategies that successfully target potential customers and capture additional market share from competitors
  • Identify target accounts in which to promote new business
  • Establish and maintain territorial sales forecasts and maintenance of customer profile report
  • Support various trade shows and exhibitions

Requirements

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Experience in managing major accounts/ customers and large contracts or even a business, particularly achieving genuine sales development
  • Negotiation skills
  • Competent writer of business letters, quotations and proposals
  • Good regional exposure and ability to identify Opportunities
  • Exposure of SAP & established ERP Module (Preferred)
  • Technical knowledge of pumps and controls systems (Preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written Communication (will be considered a Plus)
  • Familiarities or Ability to quickly learn & effectively use all IT Tools, Platforms and Software that Company uses like MS Teams, Outlook, Concur, Success factor etc. (will have extra weightage)

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • Post Graduate degree in Management would be an added advantage
  • 3-5 yrs of experience in Industrial product
