Title: Lead Engineer, End User Compute Location: Bengaluru Work Type: Hybrid Mandate : AWS Workspaces/Appstream & Citrix XenDesktop, Xen App Required Skills: experience and strong skills in supporting Server/ Application / Desktop Virtualization technologies (AWS Workspaces, Appstream, Citrix, RemoteApp) role requires you to support Multi-region, Multi-site, VDI environments. On call for critical Incidents for North America, EMEA time Zones. experience of AWS management Console experience of AWS Command Line Interface (CLI) experience of AWS CloudWatch (monitoring of Workspace connectivity, unhealthy workspaces) experience of creating VPC, Creating Subnet, Connectivity to the required resources and , S3 Amazon EC2 Optimization, auto terminate unused and Inactive workspaces with auto notification to end user of use, Termination, De-provision, Re-sizing, Automated Running mode adjustments (based on consumption profile) knowledge of Jenkins, PowerShell, Python, VB Scripting with Infrastructure background, Scripting Skills to automate repeated tasks. Appstream capabilities to the current VDI solutions Workspaces/Remote App, Citrix New WorkSpaces_ Directory-Bundle-RegionSelection / Workspace provisioning (AWS Service Catalog integration with ServiceNow) for overall direction, development, enhancement and maintenance of the enterprise VDI environment (AWS Workspaces/Appstream & Citrix XenDesktop). This includes analysis, planning, development and implementation of new features and enhancements to provide required levels of service to the organization Focus on migration of current Citrix and Remote App infrastructure to AWS Platforms and decommissioning of Citrix and other VDI solutions and work on areas of service improvement & standardizing process Additional Skills Requirements: Understanding of Agile methods, Collaborative development, continuous learning, Customer focused, Ownership of JIRA, and Service Now of SAN, Networking, Security, and Backup Technologies and work on areas of service improvement & standardizing process to Medium scale Migration experiences from one VDI platform to another preferably AWS. PowerShell - strong focus on automation in packaging software for deployment using SCCM WSUS and Patching of Workstations understanding of application and systems performance troubleshooting/monitoring Responsibilities: for overall direction, development, enhancement and maintenance of the enterprise VDI environment (AWS Workspaces/Appstream & Citrix XenDesktop, Xen App). This includes analysis, planning, development and implementation of new features and enhancements to provide required levels of service to the organization day-to-day administration, planning, and problem-solving for VDI infrastructure (AWS Workspaces & Citrix) maintain all documentation related to configuration, processes, asset inventories, topologies, administration manuals, support contacts etc. with Application Owners and vendor to resolve complex issues in order to ensure a stable environment routine and time consuming manual tasks wherever feasible. Person Specification are a multi skilled engineer, preferably with exposure to a variety of technologies.You also have a broad set of IT skills gained over a minimum 5 years working in an enterprise IT organization. You are experienced in implementing; securing, supporting and upgrading enterprise infrastructure, ensuring the infrastructure, which runs corporate applications, are correctly monitored and highly available as required. skills to work in a fast paced environment. to demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, motivation, as well as excellent problem solving capability. time and task management skills educated to degree level, with a strong technical and service management background. certification or other service management framework experience, including working with ITIL based Service processes and functions such as Change, Incident, Problem and Transition. customer management skills, including the ability to resolve disputes to mutual satisfaction. documentation skills to present in any internal or external technical review forums communication and report writing skills effective management of any outsourced services and functions through Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and contracts. to, and satisfactorily resolve, any escalated customer issues or concerns. with other Technology teams to identify possible service improvements and implement these through the Change Management process. for working with the Service Owners on routine testing of backup, resilience, and disaster recovery scenarios. successfully with on and offshore team members to provide the best overall working structure. be prepared to respond to major incidents relating to infrastructure outages at short notice and outside of normal working hours.
