Senior Engineering Manager

Role Responsibilities :Drive throughput and stability to ensure rapid delivery of new functionality and smooth functioning of our systemsHire, retain and set the bar for senior engineers on the teamDevelop, coach, and grow software engineers helping them gain business context, improve prioritization skills, and hone their craftContribute to setting the long-term strategy and technical direction of the organizationRepresent the team in planning, product, and prioritization activities from quarterly goals to annual roadmapsEstablish metrics for regular assessment and improvement of tools and processesWork closely with product team and stakeholders to implement optimal solutionsProvide technical leadership and guidance to both your team members and your project peersPromote an engaged, product-focused, positive engineering culture of excellence Skills Needed: 10+ years of software development work experience3+ years of experience as a hands-on technical engineering manager, managing team of 5-10 engineersBachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training or work experienceStrong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, guide, and grow a diverse teamAbility to communicate complex topics in an effective and concise mannerExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levelsA high level of organization and the ability to negotiate priorities and keep projects on scheduleStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions under pressureA bias towards action and a sense of ownership in what you shipExperience guiding the design and development of scalable applicationsProven ability to both select and effectively use data and metrics to drive decisionsExperience partnering in complex organizations, ideally including close collaboration with Product, Operations, Research, ML, and Data Science teamsA proven track record of driving highly efficient teams of engineers in a fast-paced environment to ship world class products and deliver short-term and long-term business value #LI-Hybrid #LI-RJ1More About UsTo learn how we are reinventing the Real Estate industry check out our website, to hear about our culture directly from team members visit The Muse and to discover what we are building for our customers read our blog posts.
