Job Description Operations and Infrastructure Network Software Engineering team is responsible for building a world class infrastructure as code network automation platform that will be used to manage all aspects of Visa's global WAN, backbone and datacenter networks. This system will help deliver availability, performance and agility that is required by a Visa's web-scale, always-on network. In this role, we expect you to work across functions and teams to gather and formulate requirements, facilitate discussions, drive consensus, remove blockers and deliver positive outcomes. You will be primarily working with Network Engineering, Network Operations and Security Engineering teams in order to facilitate the design and development of the application. Essential Functions: Design, develop and maintain network automation services. Collaborate with team members as part of design reviews, development, and code reviews. Apply creative thinking to determine the best solutions that support automation efficiency. Achieve Operational and Engineering excellence: availability, stability, efficiency, with an availability-first mindset directed towards all product development efforts. Partner with Cloud Platform teams to drive infrastructure agility and automation reliability. Participate in technical system design discussions with global teams to ensure business and technical requirements are understood, documented and implemented. This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 6 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience. Preferred Qualifications: Extensive technical experience with Full-Stack Angular/React, REST APIs, Python, SQL, ORM, RDBMS. Strong software product development background with a passion for building applications with high levels of reliability, availability and security. Very good understanding of Enterprise Application Lifecycle Management needs. Experience with both NoSQL and SQL datastores including MySQL and Redis. Experience with containers. Experience in Agile Release Management practices, governance, and planning. Ability to quickly identify and manage/mitigate production issues. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
