Job Description A Senior Site Reliability Engineer is part of a team responsible to provide successful implementation and management of Visa services (applications under Digital Developer Products in the Pre Prodand Production environments. Ensuring the service meets the corporate quality, security and compliance standards, and providing the documentation for the ongoing support and maintenance of the systems. Objectives of this role . Run the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health . Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications . Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of software solutions . Measure and optimize system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating for continual improvement . Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large-scale distributed software applications Responsibilities . Responsible for providing 24X7 Application Support across multiple visa applications. · Responsible for evaluating the Issues reported by Visa clients and members and providing ongoing solutions. . Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems as well as applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding . Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures . Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning . Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts . Balance product and site reliability with well-defined service-level objectives This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: . 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience . Minimum 5 years’ experience in working with Apache, Tomcat, WebSphere and LDAP. . A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related field is required · Minimum 3 years’ experience in DevOps/Production support profile working in a globally distributed team. · Expert level of experience on Redhats version of Kubernetes (Openshift) and Docker(Mirantis). · Experience in working as a Cloud DevOps Engineer, System Administrator and Automation Expert. . Experience with distributed storage technologies such as NFS, HDFS, Ceph, and Amazon S3, as well as dynamic resource management frameworks (Apache Mesos, Kubernetes, Yarn) . Proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement · Experience Integrated Docker container orchestration framework using Kubernetes by creating pods, config Maps, deployments using Jenkins · Experience in Kubernetes to deploy scale, load balance and manage Docker containers with multiple name spaced versions. · Building Docker images and fetch/promote and deploy to Production. · Basic level knowledge on Akamai/Cloudflare, Active-Active setup Application along with Disaster Recovery. · Knowledge and experience with Linux and UNIX. · Working experience on Java, J2EE and Python Script technologies. · Experience in working with Oracle/Postgress DB’s, DML/DDL SQLs and Store PROCs · Intermediate knowledge on Load Balancer, TCP layer architecture. · Knowledge on Certificates and Certificate Chains. · Experience with Service Now and ticketing workflows is preferred. Working experience with monitoring tools like SPLUNK or any other monitoring tools/processes will be advantageous. · Prior working experience with Card and transaction domains will be advantageous. · Should have a technical and business mindset · ISO 9000 and ITIL experience will be advantageous.
