Job Title: Power Electronics Design Engineer Location: Pune, India Role Responsibilities: Topology and Design Selection: Identify, specify, simulate, and validate critical power components such as IGBTs, MOSFETs, diodes, capacitors, and inductors for various applications. Failure Analysis and Improvement: Analyze product failures, whether from field or production, identify root causes, and implement improvements to enhance reliability. Digital Electronics Design: Design blocks and select components for digital electronics integration into systems, ensuring compatibility and functionality. Stress Analysis and Reliability Testing: Perform stress analysis, reliability assessments, product life evaluations, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and design validation tests to ensure product robustness Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with mechanical, layout, firmware engineers, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to develop and validate designs, supporting product launch. Skills Theoretical Understanding : Possess a strong theoretical understanding of inverters and DCDC converters, with expertise in optimization studies for different converter topologies to minimize losses and optimize device selection. Problem-solving : Expert in quickly identifying issues and implementing effective solutions to meet project goals. Communication and Coordination : Excellent communication and coordination skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to accomplish project objectives. Role Essentials: Ownership : Take ownership of the complete design activity from conception to production launch, ensuring all details are addressed and tasks are completed. Capable of performing various tasks required for the project and defining/implementing the design process if necessary. Innovation : Demonstrate innovation by identifying the latest technologies and proposing solutions for existing and upcoming designs to enhance performance and competitiveness.
