SW Test Team Lead (6+ years)

In one sentence Responsible for segments of test planning, design and execution, meeting planned scope, schedule and maintaining the engagement and relationship with the client/ internal customers. Provides recommendations for issue resolution, system optimization and test efficiency.All you need is...• Bachelor’s degree in IT/ Computer Science/ Industrial Engineering/ Systems Analysis or related field with experience in Software or Automation development with Java.• 6+ years of experience in Testing Domain/Quality Assurance• Experience in leading Testing teams and Testing projects across the entire lifecycle of the project• Strong automation and technical skills. Development Experience of Test Automation tools to enable rapid development of Test Automation for Backend applications is an advantage• Experience of Java Automation coding is a preferred.• Experience in Automation testing tools like Rest Assured, Test NG, Jenkins is a must.• Knowledge in DevOps, Couchbase, Kafka, Openshift/ Kubernetes, Microservices, WebLogic, Linux is a must.• Hands-on technical experience in testing of software projects is an advantage.• Business knowledge of Cross BSS/Digital products will be an advantage – Billing/Real Time Billing products, Order Capture & Order Handling.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.What will your job look like? • Planning of Testing projects including Testing scope & timelines, Testing Environments & interfaces, Test Data preparation• Presenting Testing Results & Summary, Leading Root Cause Analysis of Escaping defects• Leading a team and planning knowledge improvements in the team• Adoption and Enablement of Test automation using automation tools, such as TestNG, IntelliJ, Spring Cloud, Maven, Jenkins, etc.• Automation creation using Java coding language & most advanced automation tools, such as TestNG, IntelliJ, Spring Cloud, Maven, Jenkins, etc.• Create functional/test procedures and/ or scripts by automated tools.• Gather and document the outcome of test executions and all information needed to support ongoing measurements and reporting on risks, defects, tests, and coverage.• Reports discrepancies and analyzes them to determine the root causes. Evaluates script failures at a high level.• Coordinates with Development and Infra teams/peers on the resolution of issues, overseeing the testing progress and ensuring that high standards of quality are being met.• Compares and analyzes system behavior vs. expected results/KPIs based on business and technical requirements. Identifies issues, proposes system improvements and performs repetitive test execution to resolve identified issues.• Contributes to the design of test scenarios and performs peer reviews of test cases.• Evaluates test exit criteria to assess if additional tests are required or if test scenarios need to be adjusted.• You will participate and contribute to internal design reviews of testing materials. Who are we?
