Responsibilities

Engagement:
with cross-functional teams, including business leaders, product managers, and engineers, to understand business requirements and translate them into data science solutions that drive business value.
complex findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
Management:
end-to-end data science projects, from problem formulation to model deployment to monitoring.
project scope, timelines, and success criteria.
project resources and ensure timely delivery.

Understanding & Practical Application of algorithms:
existing models and explore new algorithms.
feature engineering and model selection.
up-to-date with the latest advancements in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
the theoretical foundations of various models (e.g., neural networks, decision trees, clustering algorithms and generative AI) and appropriately decide choice of implementation of different algorithms

Deployment and Scalability:
various models / algorithms using the Cloud (e.g., AWS, GCP, and Azure).
scalability, reliability, and performance of deployed models.
with DevOps teams for seamless integration of applications with algorithms

Visualization:
compelling visualizations using any one dashboarding tool like Tableau, Matplotlib, or D3.js.
insights to stakeholders through interactive dashboards and reports.

Qualifications

or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Economics or a related field.
6 years of professional experience in data science or related roles.
programming skills in Python or R.
in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
with Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice-to-Have Skills

with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, etc.).
