Title: Senior Linux Automation Engineer

Location: Hyderabad, India

Job responsibilities:

· Troubleshooting, Installation, maintenance, and tuning of Linux / Unix Systems.

· Prepares installs and implement Linux / UNIX operating software and associated components.

· Design & implement VM-based application containerization and management

· Implementing and managing infrastructure as code.

· Designing, implementing, and maintaining automation processes.

· Performance troubleshooting and capacity planning.

· Working with and overseeing TCP/IP model, LAMP stack tuning, scaling, and maintenance

· Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery capability for Linux/VMware environments, ensuring data integrity and business continuity in the event of system failures.

· Contributing member of uptime and on-call response time SLAs.

Requirements:

· 6+ years' experience in automation & infrastructure management.

· Extensive experience with automation frameworks and tools (Terraform, Ansible, or transferrable experience with Chef, Puppet, etc) for configuration management and infrastructure as code.

· Proficiency with POSIX shells and scripting, Windows/Powershell is a plus.

· Experience with containerization and container orchestration technology, such as Docker/Swarm/ECS. Kubernetes knowledge is a plus.

· Experience in migrating VM-based applications to containers.

· Familiarity with observability systems like NewRelic, Splunk, Datadog, Grafana etc…

· Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security best practices.

· Solid experience in automating development, delivery and deployment workflows, and process improvement

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to rapidly identify and resolve complex technical issues.

· Able to work as an individual contributor.

· Any knowledge on Databases is a plus.
