Role Overview:

As a Senior Electronics Engineer at Eternal Robotics, you will play a pivotal role in designing and prototyping robust electrical control systems for our multipurpose robotics applications. You will be responsible for selecting appropriate electrical components, interfacing them on a system level, and ensuring seamless integration for product delivery. Additionally, you will contribute to understanding power requirements and designing battery management systems, as well as overseeing the electrical design of control panels, harnesses, and maintenance of wiring within the robots.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand product requirements across multiple disciplines and involve in electronics and electrical R&D to design and prototype electrical control systems.
  • Researching suitable solutions, selection of right electrical components (AC-DC, DC-DC converters, batteries, connectors, cables, harness assemblies) and conduct inspection at the vendor's site if required.
  • Designing and testing the system for electronics and electrical certifications.
  • Developing electrical schematics, drawings, documents and maintaining them.
  • Developing test rigs for testing and qualifying the final product or a sub-system.
  • Supervise and assist in the design and wiring of control panels on the robot.
  • Selection of right connectors and routing of cables for easy service and maintenance of products.
  • Should communicate very clearly the interdisciplinary dependencies involved.


Qualification, Experience and Skills required:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Industrial Automation.
  • 2+ years of experience in control panel design, PLC panel, VFD panel, special purpose machine design.
  • Experience in electrical machine sizing (motors, transformers, UPS, DG etc), cable sizing, junction box design, marshaling, hook-up diagrams, etc.
  • Experience in battery-operated systems.
  • Experience with ECAD tools like EPLAN, AUTOCAD Electrical.
  • SMT and THT soldering skills are a must.
  • Must be proficient in using instruments like Multimeters and Oscilloscopes.
  • Understanding of EMI/EMC concepts and associated certifications.
  • Should have strong communication skills.


Key Performance Areas:

  • Development of robust electrical systems within the robot.
  • Coordinate with mechanical team with respective leads in the loop for component sizing and cable routing.
  • Timely execution of project timelines.
  • Complete ownership for the electrical sub-system starting from concept stage to certification and production.
  • Accountable for understanding the dependencies in a multi-disciplinary system and dealing with it in an organized and optimized manner.
