Designation-Manager Business Development

Location-Bangalore

Job Purpose -

The incumbent will be responsible for Business Development & managing set of key accounts, and also support new product development by close collaboration with customers as well as internal teams.



Roles & Responsibilities

Accountable for Sales in the given geography for

o Revenue targets

o Profitability

o Market share


To be the key touch point (including the first level escalation) for all major customers

o Prospecting the new customers

o Response to RFQs

o Techno-Commercial discussions with the customer

o Sales presentations

o Payment collection including credit exposure

o Repeat business

  • To enhance revenue, profit, and market share with existing and new business accounts through strategic planning.
  • Actively network to establish key relationships and to identify new opportunities in the identified segments.
  • Support the overall Business Development and management team in realizing growth expectations and achieving financial targets.
  • Act as a focal point for incoming customer enquiries, ensuring a professional response to queries and concerns, whilst at the same time seeking to maximize opportunities through the identification and effective follow-up of sales leads.
  • Represent customer needs to internal stakeholders and follow up the technical/commercial proposals & contract development process.
  • Develop and maintain a structured business development plan to include the following:
  • Frequent monthly account visits
  • Identify tradeshows and have active participation and assist marketing activities.
  • Prioritize accounts in line with BU targets and manage this account.
  • Prepare individual business development action plans in line with the overall BU strategy to ensure a targeted and focused approach that consistently contributes to the overall growth aims of the business.
  • Actively follow up on all commercial proposals and conduct client presentations whenever required.
  • Negotiate and close business deals.
  • Develop very close relationships with and work with all appropriate internal stakeholders
  • Close collaboration with R&D Application team for new product/application initiatives


Educational Qualification

BE / B.Tech (EEE or ECE) or B.Sc / M.Sc Electronics or Diploma in Electronics, an MBA in Marketing will be added advantage.

Experience

10 Yrs experience in Electronic/EMS Industry
