Job Summary The Senior Accountant will be a key member of the APAC Accounting team and will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of various monthly financial statements. This role will also be actively involved in the preparation of the audited annual financial statements, including certain footnote disclosures. This role will also assist with various special projects, as assigned. Job Responsibilities Ensure Intercompany balances are accurate, confirmed and reconciled. Daily bookkeeping and record keeping Manage the AP and AR Post bank entries daily/weekly. Post transactions such as accruals, reclasses, and FX Revaluations as needed. Monthly close activities – preparing AP/AR aging reports, revenue recognition (POC) and Project Cost Analysis Communication with Vistra (accounting consultant) representatives from various international locations, providing them with monthly documentation as required. Reconcile local books with Vistra books monthly/annually. Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts monthly. Assist Controller/Manager in system upgrade/implementation. Assisting with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations. Monitor and track commission payments and transactions across various regions to ensure accuracy and completeness. Support in the forecasting/budgeting and treasury activities. Perform other ad hoc responsibilities as directed by management. Knowledge & Skill Requirements: An understanding of accounting principles and standards, such as GAAP or IFRS. Attention to detail is crucial to ensure accuracy and prevent errors or discrepancies in financial information. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be able to identify the root cause of problems, and propose solutions to corrective actions. Able to convey complex financial information clearly, both verbally and in writing. Able to work independently and with others, to contribute to team goals. Must maintain high ethical standards, and meet confidentiality requirements, to ensure the security and privacy of financial data. Proficient in using accounting software, spreadsheets, and financial management tools. Proficient experience with Microsoft Excel: advanced spreadsheet skills required- including but not limited to Pivot Tables, sumifs and Vlookup. Experience with ERP system environment and/or Business Intelligence (BI) tools Education/Certification/License Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field required. Preferred Certifications: • Certifications (CPA) or working towards CPA • NetSuite • MAS500 Working Experience: 5 - 8 years’ experience with GL closing activities including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, periodic accruals, and accounting for fixed assets. Prior experience working with Entities in India, the US, Singapore, Japan and other Asian countries is preferred. Job Location: Hebbal, Bangalore Shift: APAC
