The SAP Senior BODS Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, debugging and successfully implementing complex SAP BODS objects. The ideal candidate should be well versed in ABAP flows, batch data communications (BDCs) and IDocs integrated with SAP Data Services. The candidate should have extensive experience with ETL methodology for data extractions and transformations. This role is an integral part of a large SAP S/4HANA implementation for a global Fintech company.


Responsibilities

· Write technical specifications that are aligned to the business processes

  • Work closely with functional team leads to ensure technical solution addresses business needs
  • Design, develop, test, debug and implement complex SAP BODS objects
  • Migrate existing interfaces from various source platforms to S/4HANA
  • Use ETL methodology for data extraction, transformations, and loads using SAP Data Integrator

· Write SQL queries that create, modify, and update tables

· Use SAP BusinessObjects Central Management Console (CMC) to create the users and g roups for setup of user security for the business

· Create Oracle & SQL & SAP connections to interact with SAP BODS using RFC connection

· Create data integrator mappings to load the data warehouse (the mappings involve extensive use of simple and complex transformations like key generator, table comparison, case, validation, merge, lookup in data flows)

· Use ABAP data flows to extract huge volume of data

· Interpret, configure, and implement data mappings / transformation business rules in to data services


Qualifications

Education and Work Experience:

  • 7+ years as a BODS developer
  • 10+ years delivering SAP implementations
  • 3+ SAP S/4HANA projects
  • 3+ years of Agile Methodologies desired
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or Finance preferred

Specialized Knowledge, skills, and/or Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of BODS d esigner components - jobs, workflows, data flows, formats, data store and scripts

· Extensively worked on posting IDocs to S/4HANA

· Experience in IDoc, partner profile creation, sales orders, contracts, accounts payable and GL IDocs

· Extensive knowledge of ABAP flows, BDC, and IDOC's integrated with Data Services

· Good experience with data loads from legacy systems to S/4HANA

· Experience in SFTP connections between source and target

· Experience with the creation of users and assigning roles based on function area

· Flexible and proactive/self-motivated working style with strong personal ownership of problem resolution

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Work Location: Pune, Bangalore and Chennai (compulsory work from office)
