1. POSITION VACANT: Head of Technology, Reputed, Non-Profit Organization, New Delhi, India



2. ORGANISATION BACKGROUND:




Our client is a respected, well-endowed, non-profit organization committed to driving positive societal and economic transformations within India.



3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:



The Head of Technology (HT) shall play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction, implementation, and management of technology initiatives within the organization. This leadership position requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of Information Technology and should have a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions that align with organisational objectives.



Reporting directly to the Executive Director , the HT shall be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and ongoing management/ operations of Information Systems, Technical Solutions, and Internal Data Security practices.



Key Responsibilities:


A. Strategic Planning:

(1) Collaborate with the senior management team to develop strategies that define technology adoption and transformation by the organization for driving innovation, efficiency, and competitiveness;

(2) Develop and implement strategic plans for the installation and upgradation of technology infrastructure in alignment with the business objectives of the organization.



B. Integration and Cross-Functional Operability:

(1) Ensure seamless integration and interoperability of technology solutions across different businesses, departments and locations of the organizations. Collaborate with different functions and departments for the adoption of technology solutions, troubleshooting and improvements in existing technological frameworks;

(2) Collaborate with IT architects and developers to design and implement integration frameworks that facilitate data exchange and communication between disparate systems;

(3) Oversee the testing and validation of integrated solutions to ensure compatibility and reliability.



C. Information Systems Management:

(1) Oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of information systems, including hardware, software, and networks;

(2) Ensure the reliability, availability, and security of IT systems to support uninterrupted business operations;

(3) Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement;

(4) Build and manage budgets for technology, projects and work plans.



D. Technical Solutions Development:

(1) Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of technical solutions and platforms to meet programmatic requirements;

(2) Drive innovation by exploring emerging technologies and assessing their potential impact on the organization;

(3) Develop and maintain IT standards frameworks and IT policies to enable various teams to deliver efficiently and effectively;

(4) Collaborate with cross-functional departments and teams to develop and deploy customized technical solutions tailored to specific business needs.



E. Data Security and Compliance:

(1) Establish and enforce robust data security policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard sensitive information;

(2) Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to data protection and privacy;

(3) Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential security vulnerabilities.



F. Stakeholder Engagement:

(1) Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management and other stakeholders on technology-related matters;

(2) Manage all vendor contracts, and licenses for the organization’s IT solutions & services;

(3) Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure alignment of IT initiatives with organisational priorities;

(4) Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and address concerns.



4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:



Qualification


Master’s degree in information technology/ management or equivalent disciplines.



Experience

(1) 10-12 years of overall experience, including two to three years in a leadership role, overseeing IT strategy and operations;

(2) Proficiency in a wide array of software applications, operating systems, database management systems, and web content management platforms;

(3) Experience in leading enterprise-wide implementation of ERP, HRMS and CRM solutions, including thorough assessment of deployment prerequisites, and driving cross-departmental collaboration to assure implementation success;

(4) Established track record of guiding teams towards achieving outstanding results;

(5) Proficiency in recognizing and leveraging contemporary technology trends to formulate impactful organisational strategies;

(6) Capability to spearhead significant IT transformation endeavours.



Skills and Competencies:



(1) Demonstrated ability to foster collaboration and inclusivity across departments;

(2) Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, including representation and effective coordination;

(3) Dedication to ongoing learning and keeping abreast of technological advancements;

(4) Expertise in financial management and budgeting;

(5) Previous engagement in India's developmental or social sectors, showcasing adeptness in managing rapid growth while upholding rigorous compliance and ethical standards.



5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:




Gross compensation budgeted for the position is attractive and in alignment with salaries paid by leading I/NGOs for leadership roles. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.



6. LOCATION: New Delhi (Work from office.)
