Job Role:


The incumbent will play a pivotal role in managing human resources functions, with a primary focus on teacher assessment, hiring, and selection processes. You will be responsible for ensuring the school attracts, retains, and develops high-quality educators who are committed to providing excellent education to our students.


Job Responsibilities:


Teachers' Hiring & Selection:


  • Develop and implement teacher assessment frameworks and processes to evaluate teaching effectiveness, student outcomes, and professional growth
  • Drive & support the teacher recruitment and selection process, from job posting to candidate onboarding.
  • Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate interview schedules with hiring committees.
  • Facilitate teacher demonstration lessons and assessments to evaluate candidates' instructional skills and compatibility with the school's mission and values.
  • Conduct reference checks, background screenings, and credential verifications for potential hires.
  • Coordinate new teacher orientation sessions and support the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.


Performance Management:


  • Implement performance appraisal systems for teachers to assess their effectiveness in meeting instructional goals and student learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with school leadership to develop recognition programs and incentives to reward outstanding teaching performance and foster a culture of excellence.


Professional Development:


  • Identify professional development needs for teachers based on performance evaluations, student data, and curriculum requirements.
  • Coordinate and facilitate professional development workshops, seminars, and conferences to enhance teachers' pedagogical skills, subject knowledge, and classroom management techniques.
  • Monitor and track teachers' participation in professional development activities and evaluate the impact on instructional practices and student achievement.


Compliance and Policy Adherence:


  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as school policies and procedures, related to teacher certification, licensure, and professional standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of teacher credentials, certifications, and training hours to demonstrate compliance with licensing requirements.


Data Analysis and Reporting:


  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to teacher performance, student achievement, and school improvement goals.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for school leadership and governing bodies to communicate findings, trends, and recommendations for improving teacher effectiveness and student outcomes.
  • Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making processes and allocate resources effectively to support teacher development initiatives.


Qualifications:


  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Education, or a related field.
  • Experience working in HR roles within the education sector, preferably in K12 schools; a minimum of 4 years of experience is required in a similar capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of teacher assessment practices, performance management systems, and instructional coaching techniques.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and policies governing teacher certification, and professional development.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
  • Proficiency in HRIS software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other HR management tools.
  • Commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in the recruitment, hiring, and retention of teachers.
