Job Overview:
As the Manager of Wireless Product Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for leading and ensuring the quality and compliance of electronics manufacturing processes followed at Tejas Networks’ production facilities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Engineering, Procurement, and Supply Chain, to establish and enforce quality standards, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and optimize processes to achieve highest level of product quality. Your expertise in quality management, process quality , electronics manufacturing, and customer relationship management will be instrumental in delivering high-quality products to our customers and maintaining a robust and reliable supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
Factory Quality Management:
- Manage and develop team of engineers, supervisors and operators to meet the product & process quality requirements.
- Drive factory level quality review meetings to address quality related issues and resolution.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive quality management strategy aligned with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Establish quality control processes, procedures, and metrics to ensure adherence to quality standards and contractual requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria for electronic products and services.
- Conduct regular assessments and audits of factory to evaluate compliance with quality standards and drive continuous improvement.
Supplier Relationship Management:
- Collaborate with incoming material quality teams, procurement and supply chain teams to identify, intimate, and resolve material quality issues to improve overall product quality.
- Collaborate with EMS partners to develop joint improvement programs and drive continuous improvement in quality, delivery, and cost.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Collaborate with incoming material quality teams, procurement and supply chain teams to identify, intimate, and resolve material quality issues to improve overall product quality.
- Foster strong relationships with Field Product Deployment and Support teams, serving as the point of contact for quality-related matters.
Quality Control and Inspection:
- Develop and implement quality control procedures for in-process production, and finished goods produced by Tejas Networks’ factories.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams to establish product specifications, test plans, and inspection criteria.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of manufacturing facilities and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Review and monitor the product / process quality performance and take actions to control the yield in case of abnormality.
- Implement and drive corrective and preventive actions to address quality non-conformances and drive overall product quality improvements.
Quality Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret quality data and metrics related to processes and products.
- Generate comprehensive quality reports and dashboards to communicate quality performance, trends, and improvement initiatives.
- Identify and implement data analysis tools and techniques to drive data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to utilize quality data for root cause analysis, process optimization, and supplier performance management.
- Publish MIS reports to management on the quality issues and failure analysis.
- Deliver quality performance data in the Quality Performance Review meetings.
Continuous Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to identify and implement process optimization opportunities.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and best practice adoption within the organization and among CFT members.
- Support and facilitate employee training and development on quality management principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- 10-15yrs of Proven experience in electronics manufacturing services quality assurance or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes, quality control methodologies, and industry standards.
- Familiarity with quality management systems, such as ISO 9001 or IPC-A-610.
- Experience in supplier relationship management and supplier performance improvement initiatives.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and data-driven decision-making.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders concurrently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at various levels.
