Vice President - Order to Cash - Process Optimisation Lead(OTC Team)

Global Business Operations (GBO) Organisation maximises Diageo’s Operating Model by supporting standard processes, organisation and systems with effective and efficient shared services across Diageo. The Commercial Experience (Order to Cash) team is the largest team within GBO, based around 4 global locations - Budapest, Bogota, Manila and India. The team manages end-to-end order lifecycle, i.e. processing customer orders accurately, assessing credit and managing collections, generating accurate invoices and addressing discrepancies, coordinating timely product delivery to customers, addressing inquiries, reconciling payments, and ensuring financial accuracy.

The O2C Process Optimizations lead plays a crucial role in ensuring optimum utilization of the resources and enhancing the process performance leading to optimal productivity, best-in-class customer experience and debtors’ performance.


Responsibilities:


1. Process Optimization: Streamline and improve the order-to-cash process to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle times, and minimize errors.

2. Cash Metrics: Identify, lead and support initiatives that are critical to improving Cash and Debtors performance, e.g. collections terms optimization, DSO, etc.

3. Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of process experts responsible for various aspects of the order-to-cash cycle, including order processing, billing, credit management, and collections.

4. Technology Integration: Evaluate, implement, and optimize order-to-cash technologies, such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and other relevant software, to enhance automation and data accuracy.

5. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and industry standards. Implement measures to mitigate risks related to credit, collections, and overall order-to-cash activities.

6. Project/Program management: Manage or represent in critical order to cash transformation project. Ensure that support is provided, key challenges are highlighted and all project delivery timelines are met.

7. Performance Metrics: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the order-to-cash process. Implement improvements based on data analysis.

8. Customer Experience: Collaborate with sales, finance, and Supply teams to work on initiatives which will enhance Customer experience.

9. Training and Development: Identify and drive training and development opportunities for the order-to-cash team to enhance their skills and keep them abreast of industry best practices.

10. Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement and Quality initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the order-to-cash function.



Qualifications and skills:


1. A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant professional certifications can be beneficial.

2. Experience in order-to-cash processes, credit management, collections, and related areas.

3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data-driven insights to optimize processes. Project management and LSS certification can be added advantages.

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, customers, and senior management.

5. Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team toward achieving organizational goals.

6. Familiarity with relevant order-to-cash technologies, ERP systems, and other process-enhancing software.

7. Understanding of relevant financial regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
