Position Overview: This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in financial accounting, operational excellence methodologies, and leadership. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record of successfully optimizing financial processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Key Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for improving the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of the O&M function. 2. Design, develop and implement OPEX model to project and monitor costs. 3. Lead the design and implementation of system improvements at the facility level. 4. Run operational excellence initiatives and drive continuous improvement. 5. Monitor budget v/s actuals and flag deviations. 6. Propose and drive cost optimisation plans. 7. Implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards. 8. Drive operational excellence initiatives to streamline financial processes, improve efficiency, and enhance overall financial performance. 9. Conduct regular reviews and analysis of financial processes and workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization. 10. Partner with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives. 11. Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and track financial and operational performance. 12. Lead change management efforts to drive adoption of new processes, systems, and methodologies across the organization. 13. Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with audit requirements and facilitate the resolution of audit findings. 14. Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership on OPEX, highlighting areas for improvement and opportunities for saving. 15. Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, and assess their impact on the organization. Qualifications: MBA in Finance from Tier 1 College or CA (First attempt) / CMA preferred. Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in financial accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Pre requisite Deep understanding of telecom business, candidate with experience in network cost optimisation projects will be preferred. Strong understanding of GAAP or applicable accounting standards, financial reporting requirements, and internal controls. Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute financial and operational strategies. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving successful change management initiatives. Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving continuous improvement and delivering measurable results. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
