Role: Citrix-Virtual Desktop Administrator

Location: Bangalore, Work from office

Experience: 4+ Years


Required Skills

  • Experience supporting and managing and deploying Virtualized Desktop and Server platforms in an enterprise environment using Cloud and on-premise solutions
  • Must have an expert understanding of Windows OS including Windows 10, Windows 11, Server 2016 and 2019
  • High level knowledge of enterprise technologies (ie: Azure, Citrix, Aternity)
  • Ability to work independently without intensive oversight, take initiative, and research problems independently
  • Ability to identify, develop, and implement initiatives to improve the IT environment and user experience
  • Experience working with and supporting structured change management, testing, and configuration
  • Must be a team player with strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to translate technical or complex concepts into user-friendly language
  • Ability to collaborate, working closely with both functional and technical teams
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and trouble-shooting skills
  • High level knowledge of scripting for reporting, analysis and automation of manual processes
  • Sound knowledge of industry standards and methodologies
  • Ability to remain flexible as priorities change, adaptable to change, and able to accept ambiguity
  • Established skills in time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization of work
  • 2+ years of IT experience with practical experience of software development life cycle
  • 2+ years of experience with understanding and application of policies, standards, processes, and procedures


Responsibilities

  • Requires a self-starter attitude and is outfit with skill sets to drive conversation, gain consensus, technically validate, and drive completion
  • Manages Virtual Desktop & Application infrastructure and delivery platform for patch management and OS currency
  • Collaborates with Customer and Support organization for continual improvement
  • Participates in deep dives for continual improvements to delivery and performance to ensure customers benefit from the best virtualization experience. Prepare remediation reports and documentation
  • Acts as first level escalation for complex and integrated incidents and problems
  • Participates and contribute to Knowledge Management, Problem and support the Incident Management process
  • Implements Consumption, Performance and Monitoring platform; conduct reporting and remediation where necessary from Audits and Compliance tasks
  • Reviews utilization through infrastructure analysis and optimization
  • Maintains document libraries and author detailed design documents as needed
  • Provides support and vendor liaison for Windows OS configurations, application deployment issues including performance detection
