About the role:

This role will be responsible for setting up the Accounting Practice in India, serving global projects.

What you will be doing

• Collaborating with other practice/resource managers globally (including India based resources)
• Accounting Practice remit includes all Capital Markets products with GL Accounting
• Responsible for the successful delivery of projects in their portfolio
• Contracting (need to know SOW process, budgeting etc)
• Continuous Improvement of the Practice
• Setting up the Accounting Practice in India, serving global projects.
• This role will also be a mentor and coach for the members of the Accounting Practice - a team of specialized functional SMEs in Accounting across GL, Fund Accounting, Hedge Accounting across diverse domains - Auto and Equipment Finance, Treasury, Back Office Trade Settlements, Investment Operations, etc.
• The Practice will drive fungibility and optimization of Accounting SME capacity across the different FIS products.
• The role will collaborate with Practice managers globally to identify the book of work on different flavors of Accounting.
• This role will also define the engagement model of the Practice and the process to create a common book of work.

What you bring:

• 15+ years relevant experience which includes both domain and consulting experience
• This role is of a Senior Specialist SME with strong knowledge of Accounting Practice across Capital Markets
• 16 + years of specialized Accounting experience across Treasury, Trade Settlement, Lending / Leasing (GL)
• Solid experience global accounting practice and regulations
• Strong experience in client implementations of accounting modules.
• Understanding clients' accounting processes and configuring the accounting modules / set up accordingly
• Experience of a consultative approach in helping the client set up the right accounting practice in their digital transformation journey
• Accounting SME to set-up and run the Accounting Practice from India – Centralized team to enable India as delivery hub for accounting related global book of works.
• Should be a SME/expert in at least one of these areas i.e.., Partnership/Private Equity Accounting, Hedge Fund Accounting/Fund Accounting.
• Good knowledge of financial statements like Trial Balance, Statement of Income cash flow statements etc.
• In terms of domain can be from Private Equity / Fund Accounting but need knowledge of GL Accounting systems across Capital Markets
• Should have consulting experience in terms drafting the Practice charter, operating model etc.
• Holding certifications like CPA/CFA etc. (but should have had hands on experience as well)
• Accounting Practice remit includes all Capital Markets products with GL Accounting
• Contracting ( need to know SOW process, budgeting etc)
• Continuous Improvement of the Practice
