Market Payments Operations Manager

This role has the below accountabilities in support of the NICI Operations team: •The Ops Manager is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of a number of time critical processes for the settlement of transactions originating from Markets. These include CLS, SWIFT, RTGS and Austraclear (Exigo) settlements. •This will include supporting the team via people leadership and overseeing the workflow to ensure it is dealt with efficiently and accurately, in accordance with policies and procedures to ensure cost effective and best practice service. In addition to payments processing, the role is also responsible for supporting enquiries and resolution of payments for all CIB customers settling transactions for these products. Essential capabilities •Ability to manage a team and work together in a high pressure and fast paced environment. •Experience in working though problems to provide a positive outcome •Strong experience of when problems need escalation to ensure timely and correct outcomes • Other capabilities •Speaks clearly about the importance of the customer; fosters a sense of urgency toward customer needs. •Highly numerical and commercial Experience •5+ years Operations knowledge in markets/payments. •6-7 years People leadership and coaching experience, preferably in an operations environment •Workforce Management Skills
