Position purpose: We are looking for a skilled and motivated Linux Administrator Team Lead to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, configuring, and ensuring the reliable operation of computer systems, particularly Linux-based servers. The role involves providing support to end-users, resolving issues in a timely manner, and actively contributing to the enhancement of our IT infrastructure. Responsiblities: Leading the resolution of complex technical issues and system outages. Leading and mentoring a team of Linux level 1 administrators. Conducting regular team meetings and one-on-ones to track progress and address concerns. Assigning tasks and projects based on individual strengths and team requirements. Contributing to the strategic planning of IT infrastructure and operations. Developing and maintaining policies and procedures for system administration, backups, disaster recovery, and security. Leading and managing IT projects related to Linux systems, ensuring timnely and within-budget completion. Install, configure, and maintain Linux-based servers, appliances and VM’s. Monitor system performance and ensure optimal functioning of IT infrastructure. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, providing quick and effective solutions. Conduct regular security audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement security measures. Document system configurations, procedures, and changes. Collaborate with other IT team members to optimize system performance and enhance system security. Provide technical support to end-users, assisting them with hardware and software issues. Qualifications: 2-4 years of experience as a Linux Administrator. In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems, particularly Red Hat, CentOS, or Ubuntu. Linux server builds and decommission. Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols. Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or KVM. Familiarity with cloud services, such as Azure, AWS is a plus. Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Bash or Python. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A proactive approach to system monitoring and issue resolution. Working environment: Hybrid Travel Requirements (if applicable)
