Your job will be to ensure that the scale and quality of the software that meets the requirements of customers and other stakeholders working with the Product Management team and the User Experience Team. You will work with other teams to ensure a coherent, forward looking product features. But enough about us; let’s talk about you.You are a developer with relevant experience in back end technologies for API development and microservice architecture. You will be working closely with Senior Developers, Architects/Leads, Product Owners and other technical teams to manage and maintain the complete software development process from conception to deployment in adherence with the set policies on Security, performance and testing. The Team: The microservice team consists of some of the top brains in the industry and strive towards constant excellence. We build the interface that helps in deriving the behaviour of the athenaOne mobile solution in real time. This team is innovative, passionate, and driven by the mission to transform healthcare.Job Responsibilities·Follow agile methodology for software development. ·Estimate the size of development tasks in story points estimation. ·Understand and follow coding conventions, with design and architecture best practices. ·Write, debug, and deploy code to production; deliver timely fixes. ·Contribute to accurate, unambiguous technical design specifications to the appropriate detail.·Learn the domain knowledge for area of assignment.·Take ownership of what the team builds after the release; consider customer adoption as success criteria.·Collaborate with various Core Engineering teams to understand interfaces, dependencies and inter-operability.Education, Experience, & Skills Required·2 - 4 years of experience in an engineering role·Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent·Significant software engineering skills and computer science experience·Experience in Agile Delivery Methodology and working with Scrum teams preferred·Relevant experience as a Back end Developer or similar role.·Sound experience of java stack (Java, Spring, Hibernate) and non-blocking asynchronous programming (VertX preferred) ·Knowledge of microservices architecture, docker and RESTful api development. ·Exposure to various cloud technologies (AWS, Terraform etc.) preferred·Exposure to test automation frameworks like JUnit, Selenium, Rest Assured, Mocha and Chai etc. ·Exposure to build and configuration management tools (Jenkins, Git, BitBucket etc.) ·Code, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate framework, database, and programming technology. About athenahealthHere’s ourvision: To create a thriving ecosystem that delivers accessible, high-quality, and sustainable healthcare for all.What’s unique about our locations?
