BTS QS - RD Data Senior

The opportunity EY’s QS service offering provides a unique approach in analysing the complex tax issues associated with the federal and state income tax treatment of research expenditure that are incurred by clients spanning a wide range of industries and geographies. As a member of the QS-R&D team, you will work closely with engagement teams in the Canada on a variety of clients, including some of the largest global corporations and transactions. In your role, you will perform expenditure data analysis to calculate eligible Qualified Research Expenses (“QREs”) to determine applicable R&D Credit that can be claimed by our clients. Your key responsibilities Analysing the expenditure data by reviewing client payroll, general ledger expenses, invoices, engagement letters, etc. Preparing computations and documentation that support the analysis of the QREs and R&D Credit Creating client calculations and importing client expense data into our proprietary client delivery platform Skills and attributes for successTo qualify for the role, you must have Undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree in accounting, tax, business and project management or CPA Strong Data analytical skills along with proficiency in MS-Office tools (MS-Excel, MS-Access, MS-Power point). Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to handle multiple engagements and meet strict deadlines. Ideally, you’ll also have Strong time management and task management skills and working with different engagement teams Ability to handle and manage multiple concurrent engagement timelines and stakeholders What we look for We are looking for a candidate with excellent project management skills that is organized and detail oriented.
