Position : Lead Oracle DBA

Experience : 8 - 12 years

Location : Bangalore

Shift : Rotational

Responsibilities:


  • standard Oracle or SQL Server database administration tasks, such as database monitoring, installation, configuration and patching, backups and recovery, high availability configuration, database refresh, data replication, code reviews, and SQL tuning.
  • to handle all the Database Alerts are taken care immediately within the SLA period.
  • the respective Teams / DBA Team members as and when required for resolving the issues.
  • and resolve database problems.
  • in project planning and technical design.
  • all the junior team members on a regular basis to achieve higher productivity.
  • that all the shifts are managed with the resources effectively.
  • effective communication with the resources on a regular basis to understand their pain points.
  • all the standard operating Procedures for each of the technical activities required to be performed.
  • knowledge sharing sessions with the Team members on a regular basis.
  • to meticulously follow the escalation matrix for various issues.
  • to do hands on RCA and recommend steps to resolve
  • key metrics to track for all Database platforms and build continuous improvement plans based on data.



Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience


  • degree in engineering or MCA with 10+ years of experience supporting database platform (Oracle, MS SQL Server, Mongo.
  • knowledge of relational database management system and principles, and database security.
  • knowledge of Oracle or SQL Server Internals.
  • proficiency with SQL and SQL tuning.
  • experience with standard Oracle or MS SQL Server database administration tasks.
  • knowledge of Linux and shell scripting.
  • ability to acquire knowledge of new database technologies while on the job.
  • self-reliant and self-driven.
  • self-control under trying or tough circumstances, situations, or under any kind of pressure.
  • with planning and building support teams to manage platforms 24x7.
